BATON ROUGE, La. (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) – If you would like to learn how to take care of your heart, Baton Rouge General is hosting an event on Thursday that will provide information on how to better understand your heart health.
BRG said, "Baton Rouge General and Baton Rouge Cardiology Center’s Dr. Evens Rodney are offering tips about how to measure and maintain good heart health on Thursday, May 24 at BRG’s Bluebonnet location."
According to Baton Rouge General, over 10,000 people die from heart disease each year in Louisiana.
Everyone is invited to the free lunch event where Dr. Rodney will help attendees understand the measurements that affect your heart health.
BRG said, "understanding your numbers is the best way to control them, and by taking measurements together such as blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and body mass index, you and your doctor can keep track of your personal risk of developing heart disease."
