Hollyoaks star Jazmine Franks has been showing off her amazing body transformation in new pictures on Instagram.

The actress, who recently bowed out of her role as Esther Bloom, has been opening up about image change, admitting that she’s had more time to focus on herself since leaving Hollyoaks.

Jazmine started powerlifting 18 months ago and has even launched a blog called Jazz Lifts, which keeps fans updated on her progress.

She credits her tough exercise regime as the reason for her transformation, whilst also revealing that she’s now more careful with what she eats.

“I got into an unhealthy relationship with food,” Jazmine said to the Manchester Evening Times. ” I ate what I wanted and was kind of blase about what I put into my body. Now I feel so much happier and more positive.

“When I was working at Hollyoaks there were biscuits on the set and I was eating in the canteen where they had pie and chips. I prepare all my own meals now.”

In a candid post on Instagram last month, Jazmine showed off before and after pictures of her image. She said: “I wanted to post this for me. Mainly because I’m quite tough on myself and I easily lose sight of how far I’ve actually come.

“I still point out things I’m unhappy with, like I want more definition in my legs and in my arms but I’ve recently come to realise this all takes time & hard bloody work.

“There’s 6 months and a 8kg difference between these pictures so it’s been a very slow process but I wanted to make sure I still had a social life. I still enjoy desserts and I still enjoy a gin. “

She added: “Having time on my side has played a massive part, leaving Hollyoaks gave me the freedom to focus on me.

“I’m not saying I don’t want to work again HA I’m definitely ready for a new adventure but having the time where I’m my main priority has made me realise exactly what I want from life and who I want in it!

“I feel really good at the moment. I’ve learnt to say no – to the food I don’t actually need to eat, to the events I don’t actually want to go to and to the things I don’t actually want to do. I’ve had a bit of time out and I feel wonderful for it.”

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
