Clark County confirms 1 new measles case, identifies new exposure site – KATU

A new confirmed case of the measles on Monday brought the total in Clark County to 62.

County health officials also identified the Fred Meyer at 401 N.W. 12th Ave. in Battle Ground as a new exposure site. People who were at the store Wednesday, Feb. 13 between 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. may have been exposed to the measles.

More information from Clark County Public Health regarding the confirmed cases:

Age

  • 1 to 10 years: 44 cases
  • 11 to 18 years: 15 cases
  • 19 to 29 years: one case
  • 30 to 39 years: two cases

Immunization status

  • Unimmunized: 54 cases
  • Unverified: six cases
  • 1 MMR vaccine: two cases

Hospitalization: one case (none currently)

Public Health is not providing any additional information about the two cases with one dose of MMR in order to protect the patients’ privacy.
